Police Dog Hogan are a high-energy and eclectic eight-piece, combining fiddle, banjo and mandolin, bass and drums, accordion, trumpet and acoustic guitar.  Add in knockout four-part harmonies and it makes for an exuberant fusing of country, pop, folk, and rocking bluegrass. The Sunday Times has described them as ‘wonderful’; the Telegraph named them one of its ‘favourite new bands’; Radio 2 called them ‘a band to watch’ and veteran DJ Johnnie Walker praises their gigs as ‘a really good, fun time’.

Their literate and carefully crafted songs veer from the wistful and poetic to flat-out, foot-stomping tales of doomed barbecues, French mustard and condemned Victorian scoundrels. Founded in 2009, the band is now gigging in earnest, buoyed by rapturous receptions at clubs, pubs, theatres and summer festivals - including playing the Avalon stage at Glastonbury in June 2016.
The new album 'Wild by the Side of the Road', produced by Al Scott, is now available, whilst previous records ‘Westward Ho!’ and ‘From the Land of Miracles’, are available in our 'Store' section, as well as on iTunes.
